Additional information
Additional information as the name suggests, provides information in addition to the already stated details of an individual in respect to career objective, education, work and such others. So, if one quickly glances through the resume thus far completed he/she can find that there is nothing related to their overall personality has been discussed.
Additional information section is a place where one can showcase their skills, qualities, interests, achievements or in short can list down his/ her extra-curricular activities/ achievements in life. This can range from participation or victory details in sports or cultural activities; seminars held at different levels national, state etc. ; volunteership roles or leadership responsibilities/titles held in any institution or organization. One can also jot down hobbies or interest here.
Always remember to wisely state all these information keeping in mind the requirement of the employer. For instance, if one wishes to take an entry into a creative industry, present your creative victories, presentations; assimilate your interests or hobbies with activities that get you learn or explore something about the industry; your enrollment or membership in respective association/ clubs/ forums etc.
However, one can also present his/her overall personality like that of leadership, social service, environmental concern etc. by declaring your association with NSS/NCC, Red Cross Society or various other NGO’s.
Personal Details
The obvious purpose of resume is to brief oneself to the recruiter in a written manner. Thus the intention is to make the future employer know about the candidate. Although the former is highly keen to gather information relating to academic, former employment, additional skills and such others. But there is yet another very important section which the employers never fail to look for, that is, personal details column.
Yes, it is this section that throws light on candidate’s personal information like his/her parent’s/guardian’s name; Age/ Date of Birth; Gender; Languages known; Marital status and such others.
Declaration
Declaration is the final and concluding section of the resume. This lasts to maximum of two sentences. Declaration statement validates and acknowledges all the information stated on the resume to be correct and accurate, thereby, simple bio-data on a sheet of paper assumes importance of a valid document.
One can find a range of declaration statements online. You can make a choice of one that does its task precise and clear like the one given below:
“The above information, to the best of my knowledge, is correct and true. No attempts have been made to falsify details.”
This statement should be succeeded with three other important components. They are:
- Date
- Location (Current)
- Candidate’s Signature
With the mention of above three components the document has become a legitimate one now. Thus, one should carefully check for errors, if any falsified errors found that may cost you your job or even more serious action.
